2 months old!

So, today was Zoe's 2 month birthday and therefore a visit to the pediatrician was also in order. She is now:
weighing in at 11 pounds, 4 ounces (60th percentile)
22.5 inches tall (60th percentile)
head circumference at 38.8 centimeter (50th percentile)
After our experiences last year, average is pretty darn appreciated.

We are doing a slightly modified vaccination schedule to limit the amount of aluminum she gets at one time, so she only had one shot and one oral vaccination today. You can just see the bandage on her thigh at the injection site. We'll go back in in 3 weeks to get a couple more shots. Right now Kyle and Zoe are both passed out on the couch. I didn't think I could, so Kyle held her during the shot, and I think they are both wiped out after the ordeal!

Our escape artist

So, Zoe is quite the wiggle-worm. Always moving around. This weekend she spent some time sleeping in the pack-n-play, and would wake up with her body turned a full 90 degrees. Here's a photo of her sleeping in the bassinet - she starts out completely swaddled, and somehow manages to remove just her right arm, while the swaddle still seems tightly wrapped around the rest of her body. This girl won't stay still even when she's sleeping!

Wurstfest 08

Here's a photo of the whole family packed up
for our first weekend trip with Zoe - that's a full car!

This weekend we traveled to Kyle's folks place to enjoy Wurstfest and check out their new house. Very thankful Omi watched Zoe so I was able to go out and enjoy the evening. We saw many friends out there and had a great time. Love those turkey legs! Doesn't the photo below look like some catalog picture advertising trachten?

'Clean' Coal

As I've said before, I think Inhabitat is a great site. They recently put up an article talking about what 'clean coal' really means.
