toys
Today we ventured out to Terra Toys to get Zoe some blocks. Blocks are apparently a requirement in every household, good for building imaginations from now until who knows how old (at least as old as Kyle - right now he's trying to see how tall he can build before Zoe knocks them all down).
Terra toys is just utterly awesome. The toys there are great, the clothing is equally as playful (though some definitely too expensive), and a great variety of books. We settled on a medium set of blocks from Haba. Reading (though I was really just saying - my German is almost all gone now) through the various brochures that came with them, Kyle and I were both reminiscing about our time in Munich. German toys are just awesome.
This past week we've been doing a lot of playing on the ground
with cast-off measuring cups, plastic tubs, and wooden spoons.
Zoe's been rocking back and forth on hands and knees.
We've been giving her more food,
even letting her try feeding herself (you can guess how that went),

The water is pretty funny - I think she's more enthralled
with (and shocked by) the temperature than anything else.

proof we made the right decision
As previously mentioned, we switched Zoe over to a new daycare. Well, today proved that we made the right decision. She arrived home with an Easter bag filled with a board book, a bath toy, another book, and an Easter egg. That she dyed herself. The reason we know that? Photos!
So, I present to you, Zoe's loyal fans:
